Maho Beach is definitely one of the most impressive beaches in the world and with good reason! It's located on the island of St. Maarten in the Caribbean, in the Netherlands Antilles, on the Dutch side of the island. Imagine one almost perfect day at the beach, sunny weather, beautiful sea, sand volleyball AND an airplane is landing right above your head?!


Nowhere else can you get as close to aircraft landing on their final approach, not just small aircraft but 747 jumbos arriving on international routes. Since Maho Beach is located right across the road from beginning of airport's runway, landing planes are so close to the people on the beach, you almost feel you could touch the wheels if you jumped up.
